Why this site?

After the terrible flood occurred on Oct. 25th 2011 in Cinque Terre -Italy- we’ve been working around to find private funds to cover a part of the 100M Eur needed to rebuild Vernazza.

The idea came, suddenly, during a conversation about another initiative by the Municipality of Vernazza “A stone for Vernazza”: make a donation and your name will be put on a stone in a rebuilded wall.
“A pixel for Vernazza” is the same: convert the purchase of a virtual piece of a town into a real help. BUY A PIXEL AND WE’LL BUY A STONE, A BRICK, A PEN FOR THE SCHOOL, A MEAL…

All the donations are managed by non-profit organization, no one is having profit by this project.

That’s the idea..than let’s see what happens…
